A Proper Devon Pub
The Palk Arms is an independent 16th Century freehouse serving great pub food with real ales and wine in a relaxed traditional pub near Bovey Tracey, Devon
Jane and Ivan took over in April 2012, with the aim of creating a proper local in a traditional Devon pub. Since May 2015 four en-suite rooms have been available for B&B.
In a Great Location
The Pub is a firm favourite with walkers, cyclists, horseriders, tourists and locals. Within Dartmoor National Park the Palk has far reaching views over the Teign valley.
The Palk Arms is a traditional rural pub and is one of the few independent village pubs in the area. Set high above the Teign Valley it has wonderful panoramic views over the rolling hills and beautiful countryside. We are near Bovey Tracey and within the Dartmoor National Park.
Since taking over the pub in April 2012 Jane and Ivan have created a proper local. We offer traditional pub grub (the best in Hennock!) great real ale from local brewers Teignworthy and Dartmoor, proper Devon ciders and a wide selection of wine (better to ask the landlady). There is plenty of room either by the fires, on the sofa or at a table admiring the impressive view across the Teign Valley.
The relaxed atmosphere of The Palk has made it a favourite with holiday makers, tourists, walkers, cyclists, horseriders and locals. Why not come and join us for a beer and experience a proper Devon pub?
The pub is perfectly located for guests staying at Finlake Lodges and the many holiday cottages around Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh and the Teign Valley.
We are only 2 miles from the reservoirs of Trenchford, Tottiford and Kennick – ideal for a picturesque walk or cycle to build up a thirst or to burn off a hearty roast dinner!
Children welcome until 8.30 pm and all dogs to be kept on leads please.
Sunday Roasts are very popular so please phone to book in advance and avoid disappointment!
